Ovechkin Scores 500th Point in Style

Alexander Ovechkin notched his 500th career point against the Rangers on Thursday, blowing by Rangers defencemen Michal Rozival and scoring one-handed on Lundqvist.
Would you expect anything else from A.O? He’s already established himself as one of the most electrifying players in the NHL, and if he stays healthy, he’ll continue his assault on the record books.
The Capitals would come back in this game to beat the Rangers 6-5, extending their win streak to 12 games. Ovechkin tallied two goals and an assist, while the Rangers got a powerplay goal and a helper from their newest acquisition, Olli Jokinen.
