Linus Omark’s Fantastic Shootout Goal

With a spin move and a shot, Edmonton’s Linus Omark made a memorable debut in the NHL. Omark was able to get the game winning goal during a shootout against the Tampa Bay Lightning. But that’s not the story. Omark makes a fancy spin move to start out his shootout before scoring on Dan Ellis.
Flashy kid. That’s one way to make the highlight reel.
How Omark made his goal has Lightning fans a bit upset by Omark’s for his flashy showmanship. Some think it’s a bit disrespectful. But the Oilers do not seem too upset at the move.
The fact is that it does bring more eyes onto the game. It makes the shootout fun and as Paul Bisonnette, Phoenix Coyotes Forward states on his Twitter feed, “all I know is Omark’s move is good for the game. which means more fans in seats.”
