I’ve stated over the last few weeks that through the sheer power of my mind-control abilities, I will force the Nashville Predators to find the strength to win their first NHL Playoff series. I’ve sat all weekend in my office with a stack of bologna sandwiches and Moosehead Beer focusing on Sunday’s game. Apparently, my mind grapes put enough force out there to help Nashville as the Predators snatched up another game to take the series lead.

Mike Fisher broke a tie at 10:21 of the third period, and the Nashville Predators took advantage of Bobby Ryan sitting out the first of his two-game suspension by beating the Anaheim Ducks, 4-3, on Sunday for a 2-1 lead in the Western Conference first-round playoff series.

Vancouver Canucks Take A Commanding 3-0 Series Lead

In my opinion, game #3 can be described as a game where the momentum went back and forth to each team, throughout the game. This was also a game of untimely penalties, as all three power play goals came within 30 seconds of a penalty being called. Game #3 started off with a bang for the Chicago Blackhawks (which was much need), as defenseman Duncan Keith wired one right through Roberto Luongo’s glove side.

Sharks lose home ice advantage after an embarrassing 4-0 loss to the Kings

Both teams started the game with some big hits. The Sharks got the first power play of the game on a pretty weak call, but they didn’t do much with their man advantage. Ben Eager took really undisciplined slashing penalty on Jack Johnson at 11:26 of the first period. Johnson made Eager pay with a blast from the point with the man advantage to get the Kings on the board first.

This could be the pivotal game in the series. Up 2-0 Washington had the chance to all but put the Rangers away. But all it took to derail those plans, however, was one bad bounce off Karl Alzner’s shoulder. The first period was scoreless and fairly even with Caps holding a 5-4 advantage in scoring chances. Despite not having a lead after 20 minutes of play the frame had to be considered a positive for Washington after killing off New York’s one and a half minute five-on-three power play late.

Denver Broncos QB Tim Tebow is having himself a busy month. It all started with the release of Tebow’s new endorsement for Jockey and ended up with himself etched in stone in Florida.
